Disney Yet Again (Part Three)

The short form of what happened is that we were rushing to leave the park and L’s Mother misjudged a curb.  By the time I realized what was about to happen, I had enough time to shout “Curb!” before she pitched forward into the street.  She caught her toe on the way down, but it otherwise didn’t seem too bad, so we made our way to the Skyliner.

It was in the air that the adrenaline started to wear off and the pain really started to set in.

So once we reached the hotel we alerted some staff that we might need some aid because while it certainly could have been a bad sprain, it also could have been a break.  Lacking on-site first aid facilities, this necessitated calling for paramedics either way.  (Why four were sent, I truly don’t know.)

After some examination, an obvious break was ruled out, and be it sprain or minor fracture, the proceedure remained more or less the same, tape up the toe and see if it gets better or worse.

It got better, and by morning L’s Mother was (carefully) able to walk again, so our vacation continued (more or less) unabated.
